Biodegradable means a material can break down over time, but it does not specify how quickly or under what conditions. Compostable means the product is designed to break down into non toxic organic matter within a defined time and under specific conditions.

Yes. Our bagasse products are BPA free and made without added harmful chemicals, giving you a safe food contact surface.

In stock orders placed by 2 PM ET on a business day, ground shipments typically go out the same day. LTL orders, including oversized and palletized shipments, typically take 24–48 business hours for carrier pickup. Orders placed after 2 PM ET, on weekends, or holidays are processed the next business day.

Sugarcane bagasse, the fibrous material left over after sugarcane is pressed for juice. It's an agricultural byproduct that would otherwise go to waste, so it doesn't use any extra land or crops. It's naturally sturdy, heat tolerant, and breaks down far faster than plastic or foam.

It depends on the facility. Most commercial composting facilities accept bagasse products, while home composting can take longer because home compost piles usually do not reach the same temperatures. Check with your local or commercial composting facility before telling customers that a product is accepted for curbside composting.

Yes. A growing number of cities and states restrict polystyrene foam and single use plastic foodservice ware, and our compostable food packaging is a compliant alternative in most of these jurisdictions. Check your specific local ordinance, and we can provide product documentation for your compliance file.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep cases sealed until use. Bagasse absorbs ambient humidity over time, so a dry stockroom keeps it rigid.

Plan roughly 1.25 plates per guest for buffet service, since guests routinely take a second plate. For plated service, one per guest plus 10 percent extra. For cups, plan 2 to 3 per guest for a multi hour event.
